Job Description
- Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care of Level 3 and 2 medical-surgical critical care patients
- Sound knowledge base and demonstrated skill in: advanced assessment and documentation chest tube management arrhythmia interpretations hemodynamic monitoring mechanical ventilation dialysis (preferred) set-up and assistance in bedside procedures , intubations, etc.
- Monitoring and transporting critically ill patients for inter-facility transfers
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN)
- Current registration as a RN with the CNO
- Current First Aid & Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification
- Three years of current Level 2 or 3 critical care experience required
- Completion of a recognized Critical Care Course
- Experience with EPIC/PCC an asset
- Demonstrated ability to use your critical thinking, problem-solving and teamwork abilities
