Quinlan Boland Barrett is seeking a Chartered Professional Accountant to join their team in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. What you will be doing:
- Working for a successful, growing accounting firm who values work life balance, and a culture of appreciation, recognition, and inclusion
- Supporting our clients through the application of high quality accounting skills coupled with strong professionalism and communication skills
- Analyzing information and providing valuable solutions to client issues, both personal and corporate
- Planning, preparation, and execution of audits, review engagements and Notice to Reader files
- Analysis, preparation, and filing of corporate and personal income tax, as well as trust returns
- Organizing, preparing, and filing of HST returns and other government filings as required
What you will bring:
- Designation as a Chartered Professional Accountant
- Experience as a CPA in public practice would be an asset
- Ability to communicate comfortably with business owners and managers both locally and internationally, and be the liaison on a wide range of topics with these stakeholders
- Experience with Sage, Profile, Cantax and Caseware would be considered an asset
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, and strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- An approachable, professional, and adaptable demeanor
- A positive attitude and interpersonal skills that allow you to thrive in the close knit team environment at QBB
- A motivated person with the ability to complete projects on time and within budget
