Job purpose
We are currently seeking an energetic, innovative Outside Sales Representative to support our customers’ electrical power infrastructure needs. The applicant will have extensive experience and knowledge in the electrical utility/power transmissions and distribution market. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to acquire and retain clientele in contribution to business development, resulting in overall company growth.
Duties and responsibilities
- Promote CCCSR products and services
- Create and deliver presentations, as well as product and/or service demonstrations tailored to industry-specific audiences
- Remain positioned on best practices and promotional trends
- Foster and maintain strong, trusting relationships with current and new clientele
- Manage customer expectations; resolve customer concerns in a timely and effective manner to maximize client satisfaction
- Conduct “cold calls,” in addition to employing other means of communication to develop and/or maintain client relations
- Conduct sales forecasting and analysis; identify potential opportunities to acquire new business and enter new markets by tracking sales and continually reviewing status and industry trend reports
- Perform cost benefit and needs analysis to assist with informed decision-making as it relates to customer relations and sales strategy
- Work toward establishing reasonable sales projections relative to learning about the value of specific sales territories
- Coordinate sales efforts with other team members and support departments to ensure sales execution is efficient, well-timed, and in accordance with CCCSR’s customer service objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs reviewed annually)
- Attend trade shows and other industry-connector events
- Provide management/executives with reports on customer needs, challenges, interests, competitive activities and the prospective for new products and services

- Must possess a high degree of self-motivation and the ability to take initiative
- Strong business acumen: desire to sell and do what it takes to “close” while maintaining a high level of integrity and upholding CCCSR’s positive reputation
- Superior interpersonal, social and communication skills required
- Customer service skills: ability to readily garner trust and cultivate relationships
- Able to negotiate, cope with rejection, and navigate and overcome objections
- Active listening skills and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and follow up skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Supply and rental inventory control knowledge
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years experience in outside/inside sales with a proven track record of achievement
- Knowledge and experience in electrical distribution, specifically transmission and distribution lines, substations, and power system automation
- Proficiency with inventory management systems; experience with CRMs and ERPs considered an asset
- Related education/training in sales and marketing, communications, business, management, operations, etc. considered an asset, but not required
Working conditions
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs
- Travel may be necessary
- Overtime and weekends may be required

Salary: $90,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
